Chinese stocks tumbled on Friday, with losses almost across the board.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 2.82 percent to finish at 2,913.25 points. The smaller Shenzhen index tumbled 3.57 percent to close at 10,100.53 points.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, plummeted 4.27 percent to 2129.19 points.
Nearly all shares on the two exchanges posted declines, with general aviation, paper making, banks, media and entertainment shares leading the losses.
Anhui Sun Create Electronics Co., Ltd. plummeted by 8.20 percent to end at 71.89 yuan per share. Beijing Taikong Panel Industry Co., Ltd. declined by close to the daily limit of 10 percent to end at 11.21 yuan.
Combined turnover on the two bourses expanded to 661.7 billion yuan (108.12 billion U.S. dollars) from Thursday's 474.2 billion.
