Shanghai will be home to Starbucks Coffee Company's first international roaster and reserve tasting room late 2017.
The tasting room will be along Nanjing Road West, one of the busiest shopping destinations in the city, as part of the TaikooHui project.
The new 2,700 square meter retail place in Shanghai is expected to allow customers in China to better understand the craft of roasting and brewing a range of Starbucks coffees, including the rare, limited availability of Starbucks Reserve Coffees from the world. Starbucks' first tasting room was launched in Seattle in December 2014.
There are more than 2,100 Starbucks stores in more than 102 cities in China, the company's largest overseas market.
