Dealers will recall 1,479 imported modified Porsche vehicles in the Chinese mainland over bracket flaws, said the country's quality watchdog.
The circlip on the brake pedal hinge might loosen, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
If this is the case, the pedal pivot pin could move and eventually cause pedal dislodgement. A dislodged pedal means the driver could not apply the brakes, likely resulting in a crash.
The recall, starting from Thursday, affects modified vehicles, all imported, manufactured between March 2010 and January 2016.
Dealers will fix the circlip or install a new one if necessary for free.
