Profits of China's major industrial firms rose 6.2 percent year on year in the first half of 2016, narrowing from a 6.4-percent rise registered in the first five months, official data showed on Wednesday.
Profits at industrial companies with annual revenues of more than 20 million yuan (about 3.1 million U.S. dollars) totaled 3 trillion yuan in the first six months, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
