A car company started a recall of over 1,200 imported Porsche refitted vehicles on Thursday, due to defective brake pedals, the top quality watchdog said.
The recall affects 1,236 Porsche cars manufactured between July 2013 and February 2016, according to the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The snap spring of the brake pedals, of the affected vehicles, may loosen during driving, posing serious safety risks.
The Dalian-based car import and export company asked dealers to check all affected vehicles and replace the defective parts free of charge, the statement said.
