The number of public-private partnership (PPP) projects has grown fast since applications for the third batch of pilot projects started in June, a media report said Sunday.
Within about two months, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) has received 1,070 applications in sectors including transportation, energy and infrastructure construction, with total planned investment of 2.2 trillion yuan ($331.76 billion), accounting for over 20 percent of the PPP database, domestic news portal yicai.com reported on Sunday.
The database had 9,285 projects with overall volume of 10.6 trillion yuan as of June 2016, data from the PPP center of the MOF showed.
