The first blue book on the development of China's free trade zones (FTZs) was released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences together with two other institutions in Beijing Tuesday.
The document calls for more efforts to speed up the development of China's FTZs to promote opening-up.
According to the blue book, the FTZs face problems such as having a limited number of trade partners, and relatively loose trade relationships with other countries and regions, news portal chinanews.com reported Tuesday.
The book suggests that consultative agencies be set up in FTZs to provide services.
