Merger and acquisition (M&A) deals involving China reached $530.9 billion from January to September 15, and the country surpassed the US as the top acquirer for foreign companies, Thomas Reuters said in a report on Wednesday.
The average M&A deal size grew to $146.1 million in the first nine months, compared with $132.9 million during the same period in 2015, the report said. The increase was fueled by ChemChina's record-breaking offer for Syngenta, which was $46.6 billion.
