The housing market in Beijing has been cooling down after the local authorities introduced new policies on September 30 to rein in prices.
From October 1 to 15, total new home sales stood at 1,579, down 45 percent on a month-on-month basis, according to domestic news website chinanews.com. The daily online transaction volume after the week-long National Day holidays was 170, down 31.4 percent from the daily volume in September, which was due to the stricter rules on down payments.
