China's top car-hailing service Didi Chuxing has teamed up with global vehicle rental service provider Avis Budget Group to offer car rental services overseas.
Didi and Avis will coordinate each other's products, technology and local commercial resources to provide car rental services to Chinese users in about 175 countries and regions, according to Didi. Didi's users can rent vehicles offered by Avis Budget Group in airports and in downtown areas.
It is Didi's goal to become more international, and the partnership with Avis Budget Group is an important step toward this goal, said Fu Qiang, Didi's senior vice president.
DiDi now offers a full range of mobile tech-based mobility options for some 300 million users across more than 400 Chinese cities.
