Chinese online car-hailing firm Didi Chuxing announced on Tuesday that it has reached a strategic partnership with global rental services provider Avis Budget Group by enabling its registered users to access rental services covering 175 countries and regions.
The two companies will cooperate in product, technology and local marketing resources, Didi said in an announcement to the Global Times on Tuesday. The partnership will help the registered users on Didi's platform get access to rental services provided by Avis at airports and neighboring places.
Didi acquired its U.S. competitor Uber Inc's Chinese affiliate in August.
