The creation of professionally generated content (PGC) on Sohu TV has grown rapidly over the last six months, Ma Yi, general manger of Sohu TV's Product and Technique Center, announced at the Third Sohu TV's Producers Forum on Thursday in Beijing.
According to data released by Sohu TV, a total of 4,300 production companies and producers produced more than 1.2 million videos in total for the platform over the last six months.
This content has received more than 3 billion views in total from 30 million users, according to Sohu TV.
"Sohu TV will continue to build a large platform for PGC as well as explore new opportunities for streaming," said Charles Zhang, CEO of Sohu TV, at the event.
After the forum, Sohu TV also released a list of 11 outstanding producers or video productions created over the last six months.
Producers and productions related to automobiles, technology and travel content accounted for a majority of the Sohu TV list.
