As Chinese market becomes increasingly important in European enterprises' global expansion strategy, two Polish high-tech firms have sought to tap into the sector by attending China Hi-tech Fair 2016, believing that participation in the technology show would make the process easier.
"We came here to forge new partnership with mobile phone operators and hardware providers and seek opportunities with other high-tech companies via networking," said Mikołaj Małaczyński, chief executive officer of Legimi, a Poland-based company offering ebook library on mobile devices for subscribers.
"In addition to that, we are open to search for opportunities to pitch to venture capital organizations, because we have very strong expansion plan."
The company, which has already been offering services in Poland and Germany, plans to launch a Chinese version of its product next year.
The executive described his attendance of CHTF as "fruitful".
"It's a very vibrant show, which presents what's next and what is the state of the art. We have seen many dynamically developing companies with unique products. I would be glad to cooperate with some of them in the future," he said.
CHTF, known as the country's biggest and most influential technology show, has more and more become a channel for foreign enterprises to reach the Chinese market and find Chinese partners.
More than 3,000 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions attended this year's event, which wrapped up Monday.
