The Japanese automaker Suzuki will recall 860 imported 2008-2013 Grand Vitara in China over defective shift bars, according to China's quality watchdog.
The affected vehicles were manufactured between June 10, 2008 and May 13, 2013, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a notice on its website.
Due to a flaw in the shift bars of the affected vehicles, there are concerns that the issue may cause safety problems, said the notice.
The company will replace the problematic parts free of charge. The recall will start from March 10.
