A declaration to promote the intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) industry was made Monday in Shanghai.
The declaration was co-signed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, Shanghai municipal government, as well as research and development institutions from Britain, the United States, the Netherlands and Japan.
According to the 2017 World Autonomous Vehicle Ecosystem Conference Shanghai Declaration, participators will join efforts to build an intelligent connected transport system that causes no emissions or casualties, and is energy-efficient, comfortable and convenient.

The development of ICVs can improve traffic safety, meet energy saving and emission reduction targets, eliminate traffic congestion and bring social benefits.
