Apple Inc supplier Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, formally known as Foxconn, said on Tuesday that it is conducting an evaluation of the conditions and potential locations for establishing manufacturing facilities in the U.S.
The company also noted that it is still not possible to confirm the location for that potential investment or estimate the number of jobs that might be created, according to an announcement Foxconn sent to the Global Times on Tuesday morning.
It will maintain its employment scale in the Chinese mainland, which is more than 1 million, the announcement noted.
