The People's Bank of China (PBC), the country's central bank, is scheduled to release data on foreign exchange reserves for January on Tuesday.
Analysts generally expect the foreign exchange reserves to have posted a minor rise in January, according to media reports.
China's foreign exchange reserves fell for the sixth straight month to about $3.01 trillion at the end of December from $3.05 trillion in November and $3.12 trillion in October, according to PBC data.
The data will be closely watched as China's regulators have been taking measures to tighten capital controls in recent months.
