The Chinese wine "Noble Dragon", produced by the Changyu Pioneer Wine winery, has sold over 100,000 bottles during its first ten months on sale in Spain, the company said on Tuesday.
The wine is marketed in Spain by Marques del Atrio and is on sale in supermarket chains such as Carrefour, El Corte Ingles, Consum and DIA.
The news comes when Noble Dragon is also being launched by the British supermarket chain, Sainsburys, in Britain, which becomes the sixth European country to sell the brand, after Germany, Denmark, Holland and Switzerland, and Spain.
Noble Dragon is made from the Cabernet Gernischt grape variety, and with sales of over 450 million bottles in 2015 in the world, it is the highest selling wine in the World.
Yantai, Shandong Province-based Changyu is China's biggest wine producer and has announced its plan to sign with distributors in about 15 European countries, to sell its products in local supermarkets.
