Chinese shares climbed on Wednesday, after two separate gauges both showed manufacturing activity expansion in February.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.16 percent to end at 3,246.93 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.26 percent higher at 10,418.62 points.
Official data showed Wednesday that China's manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) rose from 51.3 in January to 51.6 in February, a three-month high. The Caixin China General Manufacturing PMI rose to 51.7 last month from 51.0 in January.
