Domestic box office revenues fell 6.2 percent year-on-year to 13.57 billion yuan ($1.97 billion) in the first quarter of 2017, domestic financial news site cnstock.com reported on Wednesday.
The decline was mainly due to the weak quality of films and crackdowns on fake box office numbers, the report noted.
