G7 finance chiefs have pledged to step up international cooperation to combat cyber crime, after two days of talks in the southern Italian city of Bari. The statement came following the global cyber attack on Friday that affected around 100 countries.
Ministers said the cyber incidents represent a growing threat to their economies, allowing hackers to infiltrate computer systems running international banking, capital and equity markets. They called for common shared practices to detect any vulnerabilities in the world's financial system.
