Mitsubishi Motors will recall 54,672 vehicles in China with problematic windscreen wipers.
The recall, which begins on July 27, is for imported Outlander EX vehicles manufactured between Nov. 23, 2006 and Sept. 27, 2012, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The vehicles may have a faulty windscreen wiper, which stops working when its inner joint parts wear off.
The company will replace the faulty parts free of charge.
Global and Chinese automakers recalled 4.49 million defective vehicles in the first five months of this year, in contrast to 8.8 million in the first half of 2016.
