U.S. Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen was hospitalized in London over the weekend for a urinary tract infection, said the Fed in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, Yellen was admitted on June 30 and released Monday.
Yellen is returning to Washington DC and expected to resume her schedule as planned this week, said the statement.
Yellen was in London for a conference on June 27 and stayed there for a brief vacation with her family, said the statement.
