China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce on Wednesday released guidelines to support the development of the Xiongan New Area in North China's Hebei Province.
The guidelines contained 11 specific guidance points, covering a wide range of areas, including registration of companies in the new area, market regulation and intellectual property protection, according to a statement on the agency's website.
Local officials will be given greater authority to help with the registration process for both domestic and foreign companies in Xiongan, the statement said.
Also, Xiongan will implement a pilot reform program that separates business licenses and administrative approvals in order to streamline regulations for companies and measures to protect intellectual property, the statement said.
