Chinese bike-sharing company Mobike on Friday said it had reached agreement with Didapinche, a car-pooling platform, to expand business.
The cooperation will allow Mobike's APP to feature Didapinche's car-pooling service without having to switch apps. Meanwhile, Didapinche will be able to use Mobike's data on dispatching orders which will allow its users to have better car-pooling service.
The cooperation will begin in six cities including Shanghai and Guangzhou, before expanding nationwide.
Mobike has already included an online car-hailing service. Now, Mobike users will enjoy bike-sharing, car-hailing and car-pooling services.
The cooperation with Didapinche will enable our users to have a smoother, seamless travel experience, said Wang Xiaofeng, the CEO of Mobike.
Officially launching its service in Shanghai in April last year, Mobike has since expanded its presence to 180 cities, including some in Thailand, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
The company said it now operates more than 5 million bikes and over 20 million rides every day.
