Chinese bike-sharing services provider Mobike set up a Communist Party of China (CPC) branch on Monday, the company told the Global Times on Wednesday.
Together with the Xueyuan Road branch of the Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce in Haidian district, Mobike announced it would initiate in-depth collaboration on both business and Party building.
The move is thought to be both innovative and practical, representing the emerging model and mind-set for new industry players to be more proactive in communication and collaboration with regulators.
Mobike CEO Wang Xiaofeng vowed to combine elements of technology and convenience to invigorate shared bikes and Internet-based smart transportation.
