Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, known as Foxconn, on Friday signed an agreement with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp to build a liquid crystal display panel factory in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.
The $10-billion investment will create 13,000 jobs in that state with many thousands more jobs created as part of the extensive Wisconsin-based supply chain supporting this project, Foxconn said in a statement sent to the Global Times over the weekend.
