The Land Registry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government Monday said that 7,601 sale and purchase agreements for all building units were recorded in November, up 7.6 percent on October.
However, the figure was down 11.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in November was 66.7 billion HK dollars (about 8.55 billion U.S. dollars), up 24.3 percent on October but down 6.4 percent year-on-year.
Among the sale and purchase agreements, 5,694 were for residential units, a 7.7 percent increase on the previous month but 15.5 percent less year-on-year.
The total consideration for residential units was 53.8 billion HK dollars, up 28.5 percent compared with October but down 12.7 percent year-on-year.
