Tencent Cloud President Qiu Yuepeng announced Wednesday at the Tencent Cloud Summit that the company will provide artificial intelligence (AI) functionality for free, domestic news site cnstock.com reported Wednesday.
The company's content delivery network (CDN) charges will be brought down 20 percent, Qiu said, to promote the digitalization of the traditional content industry and further extend AI and cloud computing services.
AI and cloud computing services are a booming industry in China over recent years, with major players in the domestic technology sector such as Tencent, Baidu and Alibaba investing heavily in expanding their offerings.
