Chinese internet company NetEase Inc announced on Tuesday it will shut down its blog service from Nov. 30. After that, users will not be able to log onto the website.
From Tuesday, the blog, launched by NetEase on Sept 1, 2006, will no longer offer the official download channel for the app and will stop new user registration service and VIP recharge service and switch off some functions of the website. Users will not be able to upload logs, attachments, pictures and music or comment.
Users' data on the blog can be transferred to Lofter, a light blog launched by NetEase in 2011, from Tuesday, according to the company. If users do not relocate their data Lofter or download the blog content to their computer, all of their data, including content, logs and photos, will be erased after the website stops operation.
