GDP in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, is expected to have hit 2.2 trillion yuan ($341.8 billion) in 2017, up 8.8 percent year-on-year, China News Service reported on Wednesday.
The figure is expected to beat provincial capital Guangzhou's 2.15 trillion yuan. Shenzhen is home to the headquarters of technology firms like Tencent.
