Alibaba Music Group and NetEase Music announced a deal under which they will swap music copyrights to enhance their users' experience, domestic news site 163.com reported on Tuesday.
NetEast Music has access to music producers such as Avex Group and HIM International Music Inc while Alibaba Music has catalogs from Rock Records, S.M. Entertainment and BMG.
The move follows an initiative launched by Chinese copyright authorities to encourage cooperation to support the online music industry.
Another tech firm Tencent Holdings had previously done a similar deal with NetEase.
