China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 2.9 percent year-on-year in February, the National Bureau of Statistics said Friday.
The increase was up from 1.5 percent for January, according to the bureau.
The producer price index (PPI), which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, rose 3.7 percent year-on-year in February.
It was down from 4.3 percent recorded in January, according to the NBS.
