China's tech giant Huawei launched its new generation of smartphones that include "an unprecedented" triple camera with artificial intelligence capabilities, and combine technology and art "to bring to life groundbreaking smartphone experience."

At an exclusive launch event held at the iconic Grand Palais in Paris on Tuesday, Huawei Consumer Business Group unveiled HUAWEI P20 and HUAWEI P20 Pro, which features the world's first Leica triple camera.

The Chinese tech giant's new flagships allowed consumers to capture professional quality images thanks to a large pixel size to capture more light and details under different lighting conditions and professional photography driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI stabilization technology, it said in a statement.

The 5.8-inch screen HUAWEI P20 and 6.1-inch screen HUAWEI P20 Pro offer better viewing experience with more on-screen information. Meanwhile, the HUAWEI P20 series come with fashionable colors, such as Twilight and Pink Gold, delivering the aesthetic value fostered by the company.

"In recent years, the reputation of our products has reached more than 60 percent, which means that the vast majority of the consumers who have bought Huawei products, are willing to share their love for the products with their friends and relatives. This is an important cornerstone," said Walter Ji, president of Consumer Business Group, Huawei Western Europe.

"We hope to go further forward, Huawei has a very strong R&D (research and development) platform. It has invested 360 billion U.S. dollars in R&D in the past ten years. Such a strong R&D capability can give Huawei a competitive advantage in innovation and product experience," he added.
