Chinese companies including Alibaba, Netease and automaker Geely are offering tens of thousands of jobs on a "cloud job fair" held by the city of Hangzhou starting Wednesday for talent from home and abroad.
The online recruitment to be open through March 26 is docked with China's leading human resources platforms, able to simultaneously support 100,000 online video interviews. More than 28,000 job positions are available at the job fair.
Due to China's measures to contain the novel coronavirus outbreak, offline recruiting activities have been suspended across the country to avoid mass gatherings. Government-sponsored online recruiting services are assisting the recruiting process.
The municipal government of Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, has put forward several new policies to take advantage of the job fair to attract high-level talent from home and abroad, including housing and living subsidies.
The city has also launched an e-talent card to integrate talent services, providing financial support, healthcare, transportation, entertainment, online courses and consultation services.
