China's civil aviation regulator announced Sunday that regular passenger flights between China and the United Kingdom will be suspended from Dec. 28, 2020 to Jan. 10, 2021, to cope with the possible impact of the variant of the coronavirus that has recently appeared in the UK.
The decision was made based on the requirements of the State Council's joint prevention and control mechanism against COVID-19, as well as relevant laws and regulations, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
The CAAC also required domestic and foreign airlines to provide good services regarding ticket refund or flight changes for affected passengers.
