Industry professionals from both sides of the Taiwan Strait have expressed that the further advancement of mainland's modernization will bring more opportunities for entrepreneurs from both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, promoting integrated and peaceful development between the two sides.
They made the remarks during a cross-Strait young entrepreneurs summit in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, on Sunday attended by over 350 guests from both sides.
Guo Jinlong, chairman of the mainland-based council of the summit for entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait, said that the just-concluded third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has decided to further deepen reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization.
"This will further drive high-quality development and high-level opening-up in mainland, providing new opportunities for cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation, injecting new momentum," he said.
Guo called on young people from both sides to seize the historic opportunity, actively participate in cross-Strait cooperation, and become participants, witnesses, and beneficiaries of the country's modernization, and jointly promote the peaceful and integrated development of cross-Strait relations.

Liu Chao-shiuan, chairman of the Taiwan-based council of the summit, said that in the face of significant global industrial changes and upgrades, industries on both sides of the Strait need to enhance themselves and cooperate.
Despite various challenges, the mainland will continue to deepen reforms comprehensively, Liu said, adding that the stronger the external pressures, the more steadfast the commitment to opening up.
He said that the mainland, as one of the world's largest markets, with a huge consumer base, relatively stable economic growth, and a well-developed industrial system, has established over 70 cross-Strait youth employment and entrepreneurship base, bringing a lot of opportunities for young Taiwan compatriots.
Kunshan, the venue for the event, is one of the areas in Jiangsu with a relatively high concentration of Taiwan-funded enterprises. A cross-Strait economic and trade cooperation center and a cross-Strait new productivity innovation park were launched in Kunshan on Sunday.
