Cloud printing is being introduced to different industries domestically to facilitate the emerging demands for mobile work, with smartphones playing a pivotal role in document handling.
With a cloud printing mobile application, users can print documents from their mobile phones with the connected printing devices with a single tap on the application.
The application, developed by State Grid Information &Telecommunication Co., Ltd and compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems, consists of three components: the printing micro-app, intelligent printing workstations, and cloud-based printing servers.
With robust isolation mechanisms, the back-end service is able to prevent virus transmission during data transfers. An automatic deletion function ensures data files are removed 10 minutes after printing.
The service has been introduced to more than 20 cities and counties in Henan province, covering different industries like digitization, power dispatching, and maintenance, and is emerging as a helpful tool for grassroots mobile operations.
The company is expanding the public service capability to provide standardized interfaces for various professional applications to integrate with the cloud printing service.
