Lhasa (CNS) -- "Tibetan culture has become a part of my life, and I will stick to my plans to show their life in my works," said Zhou Hua, a female Han artist who owns a gallery in Lhasa's downtown Barkhor Street.
A graduate from Tibet University, the 32 year old almost spent her entire life in Lhasa. She told CNS that she now views Tibet as her second home, and the honest Tibetans, as well as the tasty sweet tea, have been integrated into her daily life.
Looking like a Tibetan woman, Zhou Hua is indeed a Han artist.
With her eight years of experience working in Barkhor Street, Zhou has witnessed every new development in the area. The street has changed a lot in recent years due to urban planning. With her oil paintings, Zhou hopes to record such changes.
During the interview Zhou also expressed gratitude to her friends, who helped and supported her with materials and suggestions about her styles.
Her oil paintings, Zhou admitted, lack certain artistic techniques, but are an expression of her intense feelings for Tibet.
