Guangzhou (CNS) -- The world football superstars Real Madrid arrived in Guangzhou on the afternoon of August 2, their first stop of the 2011 China Friendly.
Hundreds of football fans overshadowed the extreme heat in Guangzhou with their passion. The appearance of Kaká, Benzema, and Casillas was followed by tides of hailing from the crowd. When C. Ronaldo showed up and waved at the people finally, the place almost exploded.
Real Madrid is carrying out a strategic cooperation with the Guangzhou Evergrande Football Club. Later, chairmen Florentino Perez and Xu Jiayin jointly launched the Evergrande International Football Base.
With two international standard playgrounds and an administrative building, the commercialized base will serve as the biggest world-class football training base in Asia.
Both parties intended to open up a football school with a volume of about 10,000 students and a luxurious coach resource from the Real Madrid Club in Spain. The early trial phase will be operated on a relatively small scale of around 3,000 trainees.
Perez couldn't help but say "terrific" about the facilities of the new base. China's domestic economic boom has also pushed the development of Chinese football cause. Perez believes that Chinese football will gradually spike to the Asian peak with a higher exposure to more experienced foreign teams.
Besides praise, the football figure also suggested more investment by the Chinese football clubs on both domestic and foreign talents, in order to stimulate passion on the team, and thus, improve its overall level.
Another big man, Xu Jiayin, treasured the cooperation a precious opportunity to contribute to the future of Chinese football.
The media interaction closed in humor. "I would sincerely appreciate it if Chairman Florentino would provide more chances to introduce our excellent footballers onto his team," said Xu. This kind request was friendly responded: "A continuous relationship will be so meaningful to our common football dream."
