In the next ten years, a domestic demographical flow from rural to urban areas is expected to amount to over 100 million.
In the three main metropolis circles!the Bohai Economic Rim, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta!the urban population hike is predicted to increase by 40 million to about 25% of the national urban residential total within the same time frame.
All 18 city circles and urbanized regions will absorb more than 70 million residents and take up around 36% of the entire number. The rest, some 1,000 mid- and small-sized cities and towns, will see an increased population of about 30 million, accounting for 39% of the total.
