Shanghai (CNS) – China's business travel market is expected to grow 6% in 2012, and surpass the U.S. to become the world's biggest business travel market by 2015, according to the 2011 China Business Travel Survey released by American Express in Shanghai on November 8.
The survey notes that 40% enterprises surveyed have plans to expand its business in overseas market, which will boost the international business travel. The survey is based on China's economic policies and the stability of financial market.
In China, face-to-face meetings are considered important in business negotiations. 30% of Chinese enterprises have at least four incentive travels every year, while only 16% of non-Chinese enterprises have such programs, the Survey revealed.
It is the seventh time that American Express released a Business Survey about the Chinese market. The participants of the survey include executives from 211 Chinese enterprises and 65 non-Chinese enterprises from Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. All have over 100 employees.
