Chongqing (CNS) -- The deal to build Rising Sun Taipei City by 2015 was inked on Thursday as part of a bilateral agreement between the Taipei World Trade Center and the Chongqing World Trade Center. The Xiyong Microelectronics Industrial Park is the designated location.
The city plan specifies a ground area of about 376,000 square meters offering a floor area totaling 1.1 million square meters that will serve for business, residential and office use. The commercial part, budgeted at 330,000 yuan, will be directed by C.Y. Lee, the chief designer of Taipei 101, confirmed General Manager Bill Lin of Rising Sun International Real Estate Investment Consulting LLC, the body in charge of the Taipei City project.
A Taipei tower will rise above the complex in typical Taipei style, where one can enjoy a panorama of the city and industrial park.
Famous Taiwanese brands, including five-star hotels, chain stores, bakeries, KTVs and cinemas, will have a prominent presence here, said Lin.
