Chengdu (CNS) -- Eight-year-old panda ambassadors Yangguang (male) and Tiantian (female), or Sunshine and Sweetie, will set off for their new home in the Edinburgh Zoo on December 4, according to their "hometown," the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda in Wolong, southwest China's Sichuan Province, Monday.

The two healthy and energetic "ambassadors," both in their prime fertility age, are fully prepared to settle in their new, delicately designed home – a bamboo grove for them to fully satisfy their stomach, a small cave to sleep in, a stand to crawl on, and a cool pool to bathe in.

They promise to bring their brand of fun to locals for the next ten years; the last time people in the UK had such a pleasure was 20 years ago.

Managers at their hometown have already shared with care givers at their new residence the routines and practices sure to satisfy the two adorable creatures.

Sweetie became a mother of two in August 2009.
