Beijing (CNS) -- The mainland civil aviation authority is scheduling for the Spring Festival flights across the Taiwan Strait, and will make sure their prices are under control in the tight festival market, announced spokeswoman Fan Liqing of the State Council Information Office at a routine release meeting, Wednesday.
The first batch of 288 cross-Strait flight applications, 201 of which are from mainland airlines, have made it through the basic official process, Fan said.
Corporation delegates from both sides of the Strait had taken the step of exchanging proposals of their firms as well as the public, and agreed to control the ticket prices especially on the Beijing-Taipei and Shanghai-Taipei lines that get the heaviest demand, she added.
