Toronto (CNS) -- The setup of an official traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) regulatory system in Canada was discussed during a round table organized last Monday. The second of its kind, discussions were attended by Dr. Colin Carrie, Parliamentary Secretary to the Canadian Minister of Health, and TCM and other medical experts.
Dr. Carrie showed some figures to demonstrate the popularity and potential of TCM in the Canadian market, and expressed the government's interest in collaborating with Chinese TCM experts in terms of accurate evaluation and medical applications.
The first round table was held in Vancouver early in 2011 and presided over by Ms. Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health and Minister of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency.
