(ECNS) -- The Chinese government has set new guidelines on the maximum safe residue of 56 types of pesticides used for agricultural produce, amid increasing public awareness of food safety.
The requirements of 108 maximum residue limits were published on the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine department website.
These limits relate to a broad range of agricultural products and foodstuffs, including wheat, corn, tea, peanuts, bananas and potatoes.
