(ECNS) - Search engine Baidu's chairman and CEO Robin Li (Li Yanhong) has been voted the favorite business leader, according to a survey of post-90's Chinese college students.
Li took the spot with 26.7 percent of votes, followed by Microsoft founder Bill Gates (25.1 percent) and Alibaba chairman Jack Ma (24.2 percent). Ranked fourth and fifth are Xiaomi's founder Lei Jun and Tencent chairman/CEO Ma Huateng.
Liu Chuanzhi, Li Jiacheng, Ren Zhengfei, Liu Qiangdong and Yu Minhong are also on the list.
The survey was conducted by CTR, a market research institute, which interviewed over 3,000 college students born in the 1990s.
The survey used multiple factors to decide who was the most popular business leader, including ideology, charisma, technological skills, focus, leadership, entrepreneurship and charity contributions.
For post-90's students, wealth is not the only requirement to be a successful businessman, said Cao Lin, CTR's research manager, who added that the notion of living "to change the world" is also strongly appreciated.
