(ECNS) -- German artist Dieter Detzner's debut exhibition of modern work in China has provided museum-goers much food for thought in terms of our relationship with space.
The ongoing exhibition titled "Absence" at Beijing's Today Art Museum, includes nine pieces of Detzner's artwork focused on space via the utilization of shadows and light.
Most of the works are hung on or near walls that form an additional geometrical context of reality and visual illusion.
Among the nine, five pieces include a hollow tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedrons. Named after his favorite artists, Yves, Otto, Heinz, Guenther, Lucio, the works represent air, water, earth, fire and the universe respectively.
The five pieces, design of which were inspired by the Platonic solids, are on display. (Photo courtesy to Today Art Museum)

The exhibition will last until May 26. The artist hopes people would go to see his work and find their own answers.
