(ECNS) - Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), China's busiest aviation hub, will shut down its oldest runway tomorrow for renovation, redirecting some Beijing-bound flights to Tianjin municipality.
BCIA's central runway will undergo a complete renovation from May 23 to 28. During the project, the airport will use just two runways, affecting the flights of 11 airlines.
Some flights will be redirected to Tianjin Binhai International Airport, which will provide a free shuttle bus to Sihui bus terminal and BCIA. The journey is about one hour.
Everyday there will be six buses temporarily connecting Sihui and the airport in Tianjin. The first bus leaves Sihui at 6:15am and the last one at 4pm. The first bus will leave Tianjin at 10am and the last one at 7:30pm.
As for the route between Tianjin and BCIA, there will be four buses, with the earliest leaving Tianjin at 10am and the last one at 7pm. The first bus from BCIA to Tianjin will leave at 7am and the last one at 2 p.m.
